The Falcon track teams had another successful weekend. The girls team captured the team title at the Bill Carver Invitational in Fayetteville, scoring 88.5 points in a balanced showing across field events, sprints, and distance races. The boys team split its squad, but still grabbed a close runner-up finish to Jack Britt at the Bill Carver Invitational while several distance runners competed at the Bojangles Classic in Columbia, SC.

First-place finishes for Green Hope athletes were numerous. Spencer Cowley won the 3200m run (10:02.22). Ben Trubey continued a phenomenal senior season with a win in the triple jump (45’8.25). The girls 4x400m relay (Lindsey Eastwood, Lily Redick, Jordyn Parks, and Taylor Brown) and the boys 4x400m relay (Austin Snyder, Nevin Foster, Isaac Fisher, and Mike Biddle) also finished first.

Lindsey Eastwood took down her own school record in the 300m hurdles with a 45.55 effort to take second. Other second-place finishers included the girls 4x800 in a regional-qualifying time, Elizabeth Surratt (pole vault), Paul Robinson (discus), Thomas Vo (1600m), and Cole Furrie (pole vault). Reed Blackman (3rd) and Mike Biddle (5th) followed Vo in the 1600m, while Jack Marchiando finished 3rd in the pole vault. Adam Kaakati cleared 6’0 in the high jump to finish third.
