Congratulations to all the athletes who competed in today's polar bear meet at Leesville Road HS, where we were finally able to get some good weather and hold a polar bear meet. We had four individuals record state-qualifying performances, as well as one relay team. The girls' 4x800 relay of Mo McDonnell, Jessie Rossabi, Olivia Enright, and Lauren Colberg led off the day with a victory and qualified for states. Erica Amatori and Shewit Weldense then took 2nd and 3rd places in the 1600 to book their trips to the state meet. Mo and Lauren earned our final two qualifying spots with strong performances in the 1000m. Other strong performances included Cameron Inglis who finished 3rd in the 500, while Charlotte Brown and Emily Boesch placed 1st and 2nd in the 3200. Ryan Walling won the 1600, and Ben Girodias recovered from an early fall to record a strong performance in the same race.
