2011 NCHSAA 4A Track and Field Championship
Congratulations to all the athletes who competed today at the 4A State Championship meet. We crowned a state champion, smashed two school records, and we had ten different athletes score points in the meet.

4A Mideast Regional Championships
Congratulations to all the athletes we had competing in today's 4A Mideast Regional meet. Both teams came away with top 10 finishes, as the girls tied for 5th while the boys took 10th.

4A Mideast Regional Championships Information
The 4A Mideast Regional Championship will be held Saturday, May 7.
The final performance list can be accessed at http://www.durhamstriders.com/webroot/files/2011%20NCHSAA%20Mid-East%204A%20PerfList.htm. The top four finishers in each event advance to the state meet, which is held the following Saturday (May 14) at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro.

Tri-Nine Conference Meet Recap
The boys' team placed 5th. John Mangum won the pole vault with a conference meet record and new personal best height of 14'6". Will Hulbert placed second, equaling his best height of 13'6". Ryan Walling added a 2nd place finish in the 1600 and Miles Brown placed 3rd in the triple jump.

Congratulations to all the athletes on making our first of two home meets a successful day. The boys finished 2nd to Athens and ahead of Lee County, while the girls were dominant in defeating both visiting schools.

Congratulations to all the athletes who completed at the Phoenix High School Classic today held at Elon University. We had some great performances from members of both the boys' (results) and girls' (results) teams. 2011 Winter State Championships

We had a tremendous weekend at Virginia Tech with several school records, state qualifying marks, and competitive performances.
