NCHSAA 4A Mideast Regional
We had a great day today at the regional meet with several state qualifiers and some school records.

Tri-9 Conference Championships
The guys placed 5th and the girls 2nd at last week’s conference meet. We won conference titles in three different events and had six athletes make all-conference.

Tabor Twilight Meet
We had a group of athletes compete Friday night in a small invitational meet at Mt. Tabor HS in Winston-Salem. While the meet was a tune-up, we came away with some big performances.
Our boys in the mile were very competitive, with many setting new personal bests and all setting new season bests. Mahmoud Saad and Brad Pehr led the way as our first two finishers. Both qualified for regionals. ...

Bojangle’s Apex Lions’ Relays
We had some strong performances yesterday at the annual Bojangle’s Apex Lions’ Relays, one of the best meets on our schedule every year. Middle Creek Dual Meet
In our final dual meet of the season, the girls were victorious over Middle Creek while the boys finished in a tie with the Mustangs. The girls finish the dual season with a record of 6-1, while the boys finished at 5-1-1.

Wake County Championships
We had some very good performances yesterday at the Wake County Championships, including some new regional qualifiers.
Will Jordan and Mahmoud Saad became the first two regional qualifiers for the boys teams. Both guys placed in the top 8 in the 800 meters. Not long after, Tom Nobles recorded a personal best time in the 3200 meters, placing sixth and also qualifying for regionals.

Apex/Lee County Tri-Meet
The boys’ and girls’ track teams split their matchups today, beating Lee County but falling to Apex. Both teams are now 5-1 on the season.

Dual meet vs. Athens Drive
The boys' and girls' track and field teams began their season today on a very positive note, with both squads picking up wins in the season-opening dual meet. The boys won a tight 72-69 contest, while the girls enjoyed a comfortable 111-34 win.
