Congratulations to all the athletes who withstood the cold and rain to come away with some great performances today at the Queen City Relays hosted by Myers Park HS in Charlotte.

John Mangum and Will Hulbert continued their outstanding performances in the pole vault by taking 2nd and 3rd places respectively. Ben Girodias ran a PR in the 3200 and took the bronze medal. Miles Brown continued his emergence as an outstanding triple jumper and placed 5th in the meet.

The girls team put together another dominating performance, easily winning three relay events while taking third in two others. The 4x800 relay team of Lauren Colberg, Erica Amatori, Shewit Weldense, and Mo McDonnell cruised to victory and smashed a 30-year old meet record in the process. The distance medley relay team of Olivia Enright, Monica Greene, Shewit, and Jessie Rossabi also put together a winning performance to take the gold. Finally, Mo, Lauren, Erica, and Monica capped off the meet by winning the 4x400.

Bronze medals were earned by the following teams:
Shuttle Hurdle Relay: Erin Wilser, Rayna Yvars, Skye Massey, and Cameron Inglis
Sprint Medley Relay: Jessica McEnaney, Erin, Cameron, and Emily Boesch

While the meet consisted mostly of relay events, we did have a few strong individual performances. Rayna placed 2nd in the pole vault. Emily took 6th in the 3200 and qualified for regionals with a big PR. Cameron placed 7th in the 300 hurdles and also qualified with her personal best time.

See the results for the boys and girls.
