Congratulations to all the athletes who competed Saturday at the Wake County Championships. We crowned one champion, and added four other medal-winning performances.

John Mangum and Will Hulbert put on another show in the pole vault, taking first and second places respectively. Both guys set new PR's with John vaulting 14'3", and Will hitting 13'6". Ryan Walling added a 2nd place finish in the 800 with a regional qualifying time, just missing his own PR. Ryan also ran on the regional-qualifying 4x800 relay team along with Mahmoud Saad, Ryan Hefner, and Will Jordan.

The girls took 5th place as a team, with Lauren Colberg and Rayna Yvars recording medal-winning performances. Lauren was 2nd in the 3200 in a new personal best time, while Rayna took 3rd in the pole vault. Erin Wilser and Emily Boesch added 4th place finishes in the 100 hurdles and 3200 respectively. Emily's time was a new PR. Erin added a 6th place finish in the 300 hurdles and ran on two top-6 relay teams. Erica Amatori and Olivia Enright took 5th in the 1600 and 800, with both girls recording regional qualifying marks.
