Our indoor track season concluded yesterday with the 4A Indoor State Championship meet. We brought 19 competitors to the meet and both teams came away with top-15 finishes.

The and girls place 9th overall, and the 4x800 relay started off the day in a strong way with a 2nd place finish by the team of Elisa Sargent, Katie Tomasi, Brantley Belk, and Elly Henes. Elly followed up her relay performance by earning a 4th place medal in the 1600. Katie added important team points with a 5th place finish and a big PR in the 1000. Rounding out our scoring were Theresa Enright and Reilly Caldwell who placed 7th and 8th respectively in the 3200.

The and boys had our top performance of the day as the 4x800 relay team of Corey Colberg, Will Jordan, Jonathan Bakley, and Brad Pehr took the gold medal as state champions. The guys were in the hunt from the gun and each runner turned in a strong leg to seal the win. Brad came back to record an 8th place finish in the 1000 and set a new school record in the process.

Congratulations to all our qualifiers as well as all athletes on a great season. We look forward to a great outdoor season, starting this Wednesday.
