News: Conference Meet Recap
2015
The Green Hope Falcons had a very successful SWAC Conference Championship meet this past week. The boys team took 2nd while the girls were barely edged out for 3rd place. A total of ten athletes made all-conference, which is the second most we have ever had.
The following athletes earned individual conference titles: Elly Henes in the 1600 and 3200, Will Hoffmann in the 300 hurdles, and Henry Pehr in the 800. Two relay teams also earned conference titles: the girls 4x100 relay team of Paige West, Carmen Curtis, Natalie Richards, and Danyel de Souza, and the boys 4x400 relay team of Austin Jackson, Henry Pehr, Trevor Chin, and Will Hoffmann.
Also earning all-conference by reaching the criteria of scoring 15 or more points in the conference meet was Kwabena Sarpong. Kwabena was conference runner-up in the 200, 4th in the 100, and earned additional points on relays.
Elly Henes’ win in the 3200 set a new conference meet record.
