News: Girls first, boys third at Bojangles Apex Relays

The Green Hope Falcons had a great day over the weekend at Bojangles Apex Relays. The girls took home the team title with 65.5 points over Ragsdale (63) and Leesville (49), while the boys scored 51 points to finish third behind Panther Creek (71) and Millbrook (58.5).
First place finishers for the Falcons included:
- Girls 4x1600 relay (Katie Tomasi, Shannon Kelly, Sarah Taylor, Morgan Adams)
- Henry Pehr – 1600 meter run
- Boys Distance Medley Relay (Ian Delgado, Will Hoffmann, Jayquan Williams, Finn McBride)
- Boys 4x800 Relay (Brian Huitt, Henry Pehr, Matthew Kehn, Jayquan Williams)
- Boys 4x400 Relay (Jayquan Williams, Henry Pehr, Ian Delgado, Jayquan Williams) in a NEW SCHOOL RECORD time of 3:21.39!
Second place finishers included:
- Boys 4x1600 relay (Peyton Barish, Daniel Vo, Nick Veilleux, Matthew Kehn)
- Elly Henes – Girls 1600 meter run, with NEW SCHOOL RECORD time of 4:53.53!
- Girls 4x100 Relay – Lindsey Eastwood, Carmen Curtis, Brooke Kawas, Kayla Foy
- Girls 4x800 Relay – Lindsey Eastwood, Katie Tomasi, Emily Jordan, Elly Henes
- Girls 4x400 Relay – Lindsey Eastwood, Bailey Fowler, Emily Jordan, Elly Henes
Green Hope's third place finishers were:
- Kayla Foy – 100 meter dash
- Mary Newby – Triple jump
